The Christmas season is so special to me, but it can be hard to find balance in this busy time of year. Today, along with sharing my home with you, I will share a few things that I’ve done to simplify and add elegance to my decor, while saving a little time and money!
In part one of my tour I shared my entry, office, and family room you can see them HERE. Today I’ll be sharing my kitchen/dining space. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen but this was the last space I finished decorating.

Small touches in the kitchen brought a little cheer without adding clutter
I have a few of these marble trays that I use throughout my home, I simply added this candle holder that is perfect for my favorite candle (Bath and body works fresh Balsam) I have one burning at all times! My range hood has a “mantle” but I try to keep the decor to a minimum so I added a faux garland I found at Homegoods.
I keep my cutting boards behind my stove so they are always within reach, I just added the wreath, we don’t typically use the back burners but if I do I move the wreath when I’m cooking.
I have a few of these glitter Christmas houses, they remind me of mini ginger bread houses, except my kids won’t try to eat them ?. You can find a similar one HERE.
I used a fresh garland on my stairs and I ended up with a little left over, I bought some floral oasis from my local florist and created an arrangement using the left over greens and some lillies in a vintage silver punch bowl that I found in a thrift store a few years back.
So, this might be the greatest idea ever, or the weirdest, the jury is still out. By the time I got around to buying a soap set in a fancy caddie, they we sold out of the ones I wanted. I love to put my soap on a pedestal or something to dress it up. I had this lantern and I decided to give my soap a fancy home! Love it or hate it? ??
The dining room is where I really found some things that were a game changer for me this year!
I don’t set a fancy table setting often. We don’t host dinner parties unless it’s my siblings coming over with their kids, in which case we use paper products. Also, I have china, but it’s not a pattern I love so I don’t use it often. Before thanksgiving I bought a set of plastic “china” plates because I didn’t want to have to do a ton of dishes after our dinner of 16. No one could tell it was plastic wear until they sat down! Then I discovered you can buy all kinds of different patterns and colors of these products online ? say whaaat?! Ya’ll this was the best discovery of the season for me!!
Can you tell most of this is disposable?? I’ve always wanted gold flat wear but I didn’t dare take the plunge. I got to try it out with these disposable utensils and I can now safely say I need some gold utensils in my life!
My daughter had a girls choice dance this weekend and informed me a few days ago that we would be hosting breakfast for 12 of her peers ?. Because I was already gearing up for this tour, I decided to set a fancy table and try out the disposable products. By mixing the disposable products with inexpensive chargers, crystal glasses and these appetizer plates, I created a table scape that felt fancy but was a breeze to clean up! I’ll link some of my favorite products below incase you would like to save your self from washing a lot of delicate dishes and spend more time with your friends and family 😉

For the centerpiece I added a garland dressed up with a few Christmas berry sprays and a set of resin trees, oh, and can’t forget the twinkle lights!

I carried the same look over to our buffet with the garland and mini trees. I used an oversized mirror that I borrowed from another space in my home and placed this reindeer that I found at a boutique years ago.
Here’s a closer peek of tree and our non alcoholic bar cart 🙂

Here are a few more photos of the entire space before I wrap up my tour
