I can’t believe it’s already week two of the One Room Challenge! If you missed last week where I shared our inspiration and before photos you can catch up HERE. We had an idea of the look and feel my daughter wanted for her room, but there were still a lot of decisions to be made. She went from “mom you make everything look good, I trust you” to “EWE. Why are you trying to put weird stuff in my room?” ??. I knew I needed to create a design board like I do for my clients, to give her a visual of what was in my head. I had two different directions I wanted to go with the design, I loved both visions but I wanted to make sure she made the final decision. I can’t wait to hear which one is your favorite design, make sure you chime in on the comments below! (*this post contains affiliate links)
First is Modern Industrial with a little Boho. I am working with Lamps Plus on the lighting, they had so many amazing options to choose from! The lighting was really the starting point for each design, it is a great way to take your design to the next level.

Chandelier, Pendants, Bedding, Nightstands, Mirror, Rug, Plant
Next up is the Glam Boho, I love the mid century modern elements in this design, if you have followed me for a while you may have already guessed that this room is the one I lean towards. I love a little glam mixed with rustic pieces to balance the design.

Which one do you think she picked?? I can’t wait until next week to show you what design she chose and our progress! This past week I got the ceiling painted (FINALLY) I thought it was never going to get done ?. It took four coats of paint to cover the turquoise ceiling. On the plus side it was a great shoulder work out, the downside is I’m well on my way to having the neck of a body builder ?. Here’s the progress so far.
On the agenda for next week..
- Paint walls
- New flooring
- Install light fixtures
I want to give a huge thank you to my sponsors

Both these designs are beautiful! But I might be with you and leaning towards the second one 🙂 Either way, your daughter is one lucky gal because it is going to be amazing!
