Welcome to my spring home tour (part 2)! I am so grateful to my friend Summer Adams for hosting, if you are coming from Designs by Ceres thanks for dropping by!
It’s been a busy few weeks around here, my friend Summer and I just got back from LA, we attended the Design Bloggers Conference where we were able to meet up with several of our blogging friends (more on that in an upcoming post). Upon return, I was excited to tackle the spring decor in our bedroom. With a little help from our sponsors from Annie Selke I made a few changes to take our bedroom into the spring season. I’ve used Pinecone Hill (an Annie Selke product) in past jobs for my clients and I love the quality of their products! I will also be sharing with you some of the changes I made to our bedside tables and give you some tips on styling your nightstands.
I wanted to change my room up a bit for spring, you can see what it looked like before HERE. To start off I changed out the bedding. I love the new Annie Selke artisanal line of “orglamic” bedding, the color palette is soothing and the textures are soft and silky. I chose the Silken Duvet cover, the Tencil fibers are derived from renewable wood resources and are softer than silk! I went with white because it’s crisp and clean and I can change accent colors as often as I like. I loved their Robins egg blue hues, I may still order this throw I saw it in a local store and it’s gorgeous! The pillows are from one of my favorite local stores, the rug was a Homegoods find and seems to be discontinued ?, I linked a few similar rugs below.

I removed the oversized lamps that were previously on our nightstands, they took up so much space that there was little room for anything else. My husband never plugged his lamp in and has no desire to have one, so I borrowed took this task lamp from my daughters room and re styled our tables. The mirrors were already in here, but now that the lamps are gone the room feels so much larger.
On my side, along with the task lamp I used my favorite coffee table books (all about design of course!) the newest to my collection is from my friends Andy and Candis of Old Home Love. It’s been so fun watching them restore so many beautiful homes on HGTV, I was so excited to get a copy of their gorgeous book! Find hard back books that reflect your interests and who you are to personalize your nightstand. I also added fresh tulips, one of my favorite photos, and a ceramic vase with an interesting pattern.

On the other side I used this marble tray to display a few ceramic vases and some lillies, they are one of my favorite flowers because of how fragrant they are.
I added some bone inlay display boxes to hold change, and anything else my husband might pull out of his pockets at the end of the day.

Items to look for when styling your bedside table- Aside from your lamp, add trays to hold collections of items such as vases or frames, use decorative boxes to store change and jewelry. Add some life with fresh flowers (or high quality faux flowers if you don’t want to replace them weekly), placing your flowers on a tray or a stack of coffee table books will add height and visual interest. If your table is small keep the items to a minimum so you can maintain a clean look.
At the foot of the bed, I moved our tufted slipper chairs in here from the family room and brought our garden stool inside to create a cozy sitting area.
You can find the Bed source HERE
After pulling some items from elsewhere in our home and adding a few new items our master bedroom is ready spring! Bring it on mother nature!

HI! You’re bedroom is absolutely beautiful. What is the color you used on the ceiling, please?
Thank you
Hi Marie! Thank you so much, my ceilings and trim are all High hide white, its just pure white, no color added.
So sorry! I clicked a little above the thumbnails, and got the source. If I click directly on the image it takes me to my Pinterest page. Thanks anyway.
Hi Beth, I’m so sorry I didn’t see your message until now! I was on vacation for a few weeks and neglected my blog a bit ?, I had no Idea that the links weren’t working. I fixed them using a different application however, I’m not sure I included all the same rugs that were included previously. Take a look and let me know if you see it, if not email me at [email protected] and I’ll see if I can help you. Thank you and again, I’m sorry it took me so long to get back to you!
I absolutely love this room! I was wondering if you could tell me where to purchase the nightstands and chairs. The links in the slider don’t appear to be working. Each takes me to pinterest to pin the picture. Also, did you have the dressers painted to match the bed or are they white? Thank you!
Hi Donna, thank you so much for pointing that out to me! I had no idea the links weren’t working ?, I have fixed the links using a different application, they should be working now. I included a few different sources with similar nightstands and chairs. The nightstands are a wood finish with a grayish stain similar to the bed, the fronts are mirrored. I would have loved to have purchased the Bernhardt nightstands to go with the bed however, they weren’t in the budget. I hope this helps! Xo, Jen
I love the wall color. Will you plz share!!!!
Hi Amy, the wall color is Sherwin Williams Mindful Gray 🙂
hi, this room is beautiful, where did you get the mirrors from?
Thank you! They were a clearance find many years ago at Lowe’s. I have some similar mirrors linked in the post 🙂
Hi, I’m really loving the paint in your bedroom, Is it the same throughout your house? I noticed you said for the trim you used High hiding white. Is that a particular brand or type for that white? I’m painting my home and absolutely love what you choose and everything about your beautiful home!
Hi Sammy, thank you so much! Yes I used Sherwin williams Mindful Gray in my entire home. It’s a great neutral color that changes a bit depending on the lighting. High hide white is just a pure white, I believe it’s just the base white before they add any color at all. Thank you for following along! XOXO Jen
