I’ve been crushing on White houses with black shutters and black windows for quite some time now. In fact, that’s the direction I’m leaning towards when we build our next house. The style I want to build next is still up in the air. This is the perfect example of cart before the horse since our house isn’t sold (yet!) but one can dream right?!
So lets talk Modern Farmhouses!
I’m drawn to the crisp, clean look of this home by FGY Architects. When I look at a modern farmhouse, I picture some of my current favorite elements that I happen to have in my home now, barn doors, ship lap walls, hex tiles, and open shelving. I can see my style easily translating to modern farmhouse style.
This home (via Homebunch and BHG) stopped my in my tracks! The timeless elegance of this home speaks to me (and says you need to live here!) I love every thing from the dormers, to the french doors. I think an elegant modern farmhouse would suit me well.
