Hi, if you are just coming to my page for the first time, please scroll down and go to my Holiday tour. In this post I am adding new pics of rooms that I didn’t have ready when my first post went up. For those of you who are returning welcome back! If you are here for the first time I will have all of the new pics on the tour as well, so you can go ahead and go to the tour and view the whole house.
Lets start off with my mantle, I wasn’t going to do anything to it because we have a tv above ours and also our stockings are old and don’t match any of our décor. I stopped by Lowes today to look for something and came across these fur stockings for only $7.99, I just couldn’t resist buying them! I picked up another fresh garland, this is the first year I’ve done fresh and I’m hooked, there’s no going back now! I kept the mantle simple with only fresh garland, stockings, and a few mercury glass ornaments strung on twine. I also added the Letter ornaments I used on the table setting so we will be able to tell them apart.
Now let’s move 0n to the Powder room that’s all ready for guests and so festive! I’ll be sad to see it change in a few weeks.
Now let’s head downstairs to finish the tour, my basement is super empty. We are basically starting from scratch down there since I got rid of a lot of my old furniture when we moved. I had a wall that has a tv hanging on it and nothing else so far. It felt so empty. So I had an idea, I told the mister what I wanted to do and he looked at me like I grew another head. Does anyone else’s hubby’s do that? I mean when will he learn to trust me? Lol it’s not like I’m ever wrong 😉 anyway I wanted to go across the street and get some trees from the vacant lot across from me. Yep trees, I mean how’s it different than buying a pre lit LED tree? It’s free and I only need to put lights on them. I put them in 5 gallon galvanized buckets and I love them!
So I think I am actually done now! All I need to do is start Christmas shopping! (insert embarrassed face) I really have bought nothing!
Merry Christmas!
Jen
