I am so excited to be a part of the 12 days of Holiday homes tour again this year. My friends Jenny from Evolution of Style and Christy and Amy of 11 Magnolia Lane have put together an amazing list of bloggers that will be sharing their homes in 12 days of tours. You can find the list of bloggers and links at the bottom of this post. Our friends at Lynch Creek Farms are sponsoring the tour once again this year and I couldn’t be happier, I love their fresh garlands and wreaths! Thank you so much for stopping by! If you are new to StyleHouse Interiors, welcome! I have been working hard to get my home decorated for the holidays and I can’t wait to share my transitional Christmas decor with you today! *this post contains affiliate links
Starting in our Home office, we haven’t changed much in this space in the past few years. This tree was recently featured in Brigette Magazine in Germany, I was so honored to be published but I wondered if I should switch things up a bit this year after the feature. I love this room too much to make any major changes so I switched out the ribbon to give it a fresh new look. It’s staying the same for at least another year!
The Wonderful counselor sign was a DIY project a few years back, you can read about it HERE, I also have a tutorial on how to decorate your tree you can read that post HERE, I also shared more tips in this post.
I used these sunburst mirrors on both of my trees this year. I found them last year at At Home stores, they came in a set of three in the wall decor section. They were only $12.99 for the set making them less expensive than almost anything else on my tree!
I found this brass urn at a thrift store several years ago, it didn’t clean up very well so I haven’t found a good use for it until now. I love how the patina looks with this simple arrangement of fresh greens and Christmas ornaments in it.

I carried the black and gold into the entry way and tied in the emerald green velvet from the pillow on the settee by using this green velvet tufted ottoman I found at Homegoods. You can find the same ottoman HERE. I decided I am obsessed with emerald green so I used bits of green in my decor in the family room as well.

I added lights to this glittered faux garland and used this candle holder, the mirror was taken from the office and hung in the entry temporarily.
The garland on the stairs is the premium garland from Lynch Creek Farm, you guys, this garland smells so amazing and is so lush! I ordered two garlands because one wasn’t quite long enough. With the leftover from the second garland I was able to double up the garland at the bottom of the bannister to give a more dramatic look, then I deconstructed the leftover garland and used the greens in my decor all over my house. They recommend to put your greenery out two weeks before Christmas and most orders only take a couple of days so you still have plenty of time to order! I will be spritzing my garland with water to prolong the life.
I found these lanterns at a local store several years ago, each year I try to find a new way to use them. This year I added a couple in the office and this oversized one in the entry. I have a cluster of battery operated candles in it for ambiance at night. The lantern is also helping cover the bottom stair riser that our puppy chewed up ? any one want a one yr old shorkie?? Jk my kids would kill me, I have a long list of repairs from him chewing on our house, but I think he’s out of that phase finally ?
Moving into the family room!
I made several changes to this room recently which created a domino effect on changing Christmas decor (which is fine by me!). The main change was the color scheme which started with the art from my friend Christie Adelle. Isn’t that piece stunning?! I didn’t want my Christmas decor to upstage the art so I kept the palatte neutral. You can see the tour from last year HERE .
I used a 9′ slim tree in here this year and I love it! It’s lightly frosted compared to the fully flocked trees I used in my office and master bedroom. I don’t have a source to that sells it online but I linked some similar trees below.

Here’s a peek at my tile fireplace surround that I recently painted! I had a long list of projects I wanted to complete and retiling our fireplace wasn’t going to be crossed off any time soon. Painting it turned out to be a great temporary solution!
A final peek from above. I’ll link what furniture I can, the sofa was custom ordered through Bernhardt, the coffee table is from their Marquesa line. The drapes were Custom made. The rug is from Boutique rugs. The walls are Sherwin Williams Mindful gray.
