It’s week six of the One Room Challenge! Normally week 6 would mean the reveal of almost 200 rooms from bloggers who have joined as guest participants. This year there’s been a one week extension due to natural disasters around the country. I will be using every minute of the next week to finish up our space, but we have made some progress during the past week that I am excited to show you!

The art from Christie Adelle was hung, the Ava canvas is so beautiful, I can’t even imagine this space without it! It’s the perfect piece to take her room into adulthood. (? I can’t believe she is so close to legally being an adult!)
We also installed the plug in sconces from Lamps Plus! I have been fortunate to work with Lamps Plus on this challenge and I am impressed with their selection and quality. I love the warm brass of the Cartwright sconces we used in her room, mounting sconces on the wall in place of lamps frees up space on her nightstands giving it a cleaner look. The sconces are plugin which saved us from having to hire an electrician, the cord is hidden by the matching cord cover.

I still have a lot of accessorizing to do, and I am still trying to decide if I’ll hang anything above her bed. I have a round mirror that will be hung above her vintage Lane cedar chest. Then I just need to make a run to pick up some accessories, more pillows, maybe a few plants and we’ll be finished!
